10milmike
Any one with a round house Carrier have a hard time moving it to adjust the chain?. My 35 mm was hard as hell to move when trying to adjusting the chain. Now my new 40 mm is just as hard..Just want to see if anyone else is having this problem. hoppedupandcutdown
It's the caliper plate binding up and not sliding while you're trying to twist the carrier, grab the caliper with one hand and rock it while twisting to adjust. Or a little grease on that slide/locater on the swingarm. Coupelx mentioned tightening in the direction the chain spins, seemed to work for me, to not come loose while riding. possum
If its happened with 2 different carriers are you sure it isnt the swingarm?
10milmike
That is what I am thinking. Thinking its carrier housing.
possum
Try prying the carrier housing a lil bit, very carefully to try and get it to spin. Was it a tight fit to slide the carrier itself in the housing?
10milmike
Yea it was a tight fit. Yea I going to try that. I really did not want to but I will.

J-Madd
It is probably the swingarm. As mentioned, its the nub that the brake caliper bracket slides on as the chain is adjusted. You sometimes have to grind that caliper slot open a little.
