camatv
ok after much thoght i'm thinking of changing gears and attempting one of my dream builds. so to do that i need a late model EFI 3-4 cyl turbo snomobile motor or complete sled i'd like to find a wrecked machine or something like that. i will not be needing anything but the running engine and clutch assembly. so if the rest of it is trashed i dont care. needs to be a BIG cc thats know for its reliabilty and preferably a somewhat reliable "kit " installed. sand drag setup would be fine also. 250+hp to 400 is what i'd like to shoot for. i'm not looking to lowball anyone but i am going to take my time in researching exactilly what i'd like to run. in a prefect world i'd run one of the newer direct injection motor's.. i will be willing to pay a decent price for the right setup. soooo if anyone knows of or hears of a friend that has something like this please let me know. n2otoofast4u
AC made a fuel injected 1000cc twin until 2010/2011 somewhere in there. Other than that all the recent model years have bee 700/800 twins. Rotax went to EFI in 2012 I believe.
tundish2800
Ac has the 1100 turbo motor from the factory.
fappy'97
1100 Turbos are 4-strokes. I believe they made M1000's throughout the mid-2000's, they may be carb though.

The M1000 was made up to 2011 and is a batteryless EFI setup. Same as the 700s and 800 of that era. These were REALLY popular to turbo because of the ease of tune with aftermarket piggybacked fuel control systems. Ac has the 1100 turbo motor from the factory. The M1100T came into production in 2012 and is factory turbo. These are a decent platform in the sleds, but for a bike this is gonna be a tough road. These motors are heavier than the Yamaha 3cyl 4 stroke motors.
LowlyOilBurner
AC had 600cc (actually 580) triples with EFI back in the late 90's. Really, hardly and EFI triples though.
camatv
the m1000 or a 800 looks like a decent choice.. i'd prefer a wrecked already turbo'd setup in a complete bike. i have experience with 700 efi and the newer 450 efi with piggy back tunners.
