joewest
Thinking about getting some shearer pipes wondering how they will work with a aggressive trail port? Gonna build a 421 serval some day. Will they work good with it too? Im asking because I know there made for drag racing
thomas h.
I like mine. If your rodeo g in slow tight areas 80% of the time don't buy but if your on the pipe a lot do it. I think most pipes sing off at 8500 rpm but shearer peak at 12k if your carbs can do it. You will notice right away the extra rpm.
joewest
Do CPI pipes have more mid range then shearer? I trail ride a lot but pretty open trails and like to drag race my friends.
thomas h.
If mid range is your aim the consider pro circuit or rockets. CPI and shearer are close with shearer peaking more hp.
joewest
Yea I've got fattys honestly just don't care for the sound and I want a exhaust that I can build a 421 serval around. I want a pipe that has good mid and high power

U ever dyno a set of CPI vs shearer on your motor. I have. And I can tell you this.Shearer was more mid and top power over CPI. And peak Rpm also. skywalker7374
I would go with the shearers, because they hit around 6k and sign off at around 11k...not too many pipes out there with that broad of a power range.

joewest
How do DMC 916 compare to shearers? Will they still work with a 421 serval?
Nightmare
How do DMC 916 compare to shearers? Will they still work with a 421 serval? They don't compare. Two different pipes for different riding styles. Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk

This motor was built by Matt Shearer..and its really not an all out motor just made for broad real world useable power
