lugene
what would it be ? last week my banshee was running great, then just before turning it off it began to work bad. i was low on fuel so i thought that could be the problem but ,now i fully tank it and it stayed the same . it just doesn't start....(disapointed). i have some issues with the o rings of the head (slips water out). i have tried: choke fully open+trotle wide open (carb overfload) choke full open/half (carb overfload) and it just doesn't start..... helppp
tdod101
2 strokes need three things to work. Spark/Fuel/Air check those things first
noonansar
When you say carb over flowed are you saying that the carb bowl is overflowing out of the vent or the engine is now flooded from trying to start it repeatedly? If the engine is flooded pull your plugs, hold throttle wide open, kick over a few times, replace plugs with new NGK BR8ES plugs, kick over full choke no throttle, should run. If carbs are overflowing out of the bowls when the fuel is on then you need to pull carbs and clean them. Check float needles and seats, set float height. Methfireroad
If u ran it empty u could have got some crap in the fuel lines. Pull the lines off at the carbs and see if u have good flow..
noonansar
^^^ I agree. Mine usually starts hard after running out of fuel, but it is far worse with fowled plugs. The screen on the petcock should catch most of the crap in the tank but not always...

noonansar
The stock fuel petcock (on/off/reserve switch) has a screen filter on it that sits in the tank. It filters the fuel before it enters the petcock. It is a fine mesh and can get clogged up with sediment starving the carbs of fuel. It is unlikely that it is clogged but is worth checking out. If you un bolt the petcock from the tank you will see the filter and you can rinse it clean with carb cleaner or brake cleaner.
