J-Madd
If you don't know what the peak hp rpm of your motor is there's no way to give suggestions. For example I have a 10 mil Cub with high port timing that I run 15/42 and another that I run 16/42 with the same tires. That's a pretty big difference. One revs out about 600 to 800 rpms more. The times are similar, but the higher revving one has ran it's best of 3.79 with me riding @185 lbs. similar best times with Jockeys @3.71, though I didn't make appropriate changes for the lighter riders. There is a way to figure out what rpms your motor is pulling at the traps. Just gear it a tad low to make sure it's wound tight, then use your trap mph, gearing, and roll out to calculate rpm. Of course it's approximate because the tires grow, and are spinning.

J-Madd
72 R/O 14 staggered. I have ran 76 R\O as well but went up a couple of teeth on the back I think. 3.5 psi max in either tire.

J-Madd
15 outback can work fine. A lot of LRE chassis are long. You won't get many passes out of a clutch with no lockup. Plus the spring would have to be so heavy you wouldn't 60 ft.
