HomesteadBanshee
Hey guys i know I bug on this site but dude I can't help it ima banshee freak, but I'm wondering if I got enough to build a nice trail machine and I don't mind using used parts for somethings.I know you guys get asked alot but I can't find a nice banshee it's all junk....or has something wrong with it. Basically what I wanna know is roughfly $4500 enough to build a stock cyl 4 mil banshee from the frame up,and maybe some used a/arms and used works shocks..I just wanna move to a 4 mil before I regret buying a semi stock bike for a ridiculious price when I can go straight to a 4 mil....and sorry for the long post

SAVAGE420
You can buy a pretty nice bike for that price loaded with goodies, (motor/susp) depending on your area. You can build a pretty decent one from the ground up for that price as well, but you will have too keep an eye out on here, local, Craigslist, eBay and pounce with cash in hand on the good shit around. Good shit is all around, just keep both eyes open and the wallet hot too. Location?

Starwriter
Buy this one and dump $1200 into the motor and you'll have a damn nice bike and be right on budget. http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/for/3733923089.html
HomesteadBanshee
That bike has been forsale for awhile and honestly he wants way to much for that bike it's a 97 I think the most I'll pay for that is 2000 if he has s tittle if he dint way less, no way ima give up 3000 + for that quad.basically that's why I wanna build a bike to my specs and my style. Do you guys think a 4 mil is to much for a -1 swing arm since I tend to mostly trail ride???
SAVAGE420
I use a -1 and a quick and snappy fun as all hell 4m built up with all the goods and fixins ....It's a good time from ripping up the rugged mountain trails to wide open ripping or a little track time. Wide short and fat is how I like them lol Go for it. What do you have now?
Starwriter
OK, suit yourself. If you do a ground up build, you still have to start with something, and face it, your market area sucks for clean, cheap, bikes to start building on. That one I posted already has $2,000 worth of A arms, swingarm, axle and pipes. The fact that it's a '97 means nothing. I've seen '05s that were thrashed. Like he said, arms, swingarm and axle are all a great setup, I bet u can talk him down to 2800 and it would be a good buy
Larry's Shee
Seems like you're still wanting to do a piece by peice build which will cost you WAY more than just buying a complete quad (like the red one) Ground up is ok if you're doing a drag with all A.M. parts. You'll blow through that $4g a piece at a time and might still not have something to ride. Get that red one, sell the +6 swinger , get a stock length swinger, some good shocks, BAMM you're riding. Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel? OR do it your way and get back with us in a year or so when you finally collect enough parts (maybe) JMHO, your results may and will vary. n
hoppedupandcutdown
^^^ X2 on all that ^^^ Except I bet it would take WAY longer than a year to bargain shop and keep under 4g's to build a complete bike from nothing but dreams. Buy the red bike, especially since it's local, or spend $500 to drive to get one to save $
HomesteadBanshee
Guys after what I seen I could buy i looked at a 06 for 2500 but all top end basically built for drag,my buddy bought a 05 for 2500 and it had some work and is pretty clean, but the nicest bike I found was a couple months ago was a 05 with full flight a arms,t5, and stage 2 elkas for 2500 it was spotless just had the rear fenders cut in a weird way but some quy beat me to it. And that quy with that red bike won't take nothing under 3000 and all honestly I would pay 2200-2300 most, the bike has been trying to sell for over a year or longer for that 97 to old even though they don't change just alot of riding abuse over the years...
