SO CAN'T FIND USED SHEARER. SO CPI?

Recommended Posts

if you have a "drag" ported cub, and are going to be racing more then anything, then it is a no brainier. go with the in frame drag pipe that has been proven time and time again that makes the most power. shearer!! if you were more geared toward trails, hills, stuff that requires a bit more bottom end then the cpi would be a better choice. I had a redline ported 421 cub.(not drag ported) Cameron more or less tried to extract the most amount of usable power out of the cyl. and domes.. that motor really liked the sb cpi's.

If you have a motor ported for CPIs its gonna be down on power and maybe hold heat with Shearers. Check the exhaust port duration. If its higher than ~ 198* the CPIs usually work better.

Only if the compression is high too. He's set up for pump gas.
