Nightmare
Depends on the porting. You can try asking whoever built it. Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk
kshoulde35
yea i eventually found another thread that suggested the pipes on that kind of setup were more dependent on the porting that anything else
locogato11283
I really liked BB on my 10mm Cub. I never ran SB so I can't compare. Windy swears up and down that SB are better for a 10 Cub.
banshee760
Sb ftw , that's what they were made for Matt himself will tell you that , also on the smaller motors the pipe is made for revving wich in turn that's where the cubs make most of the power

I'm sure he would never in a million years recommend his BB in-frame for an 18DM when it actually makes within 6HP of his out-frames for that motor. Just saying. Carry on. Crazykane
There is a member on here that dyno BB & sb shearer on 10mill cub the same dyno same day. Sb made 6 maybe 8 less. I'm assuming every motor could be different
special06shee
i have a 10cub built by redline. im running shearer sb's. the bike works super great with them, power everywhere. cameron told me that bb's would probably make a couple peak hp up top but would probably give up some of the bottom and mid range. kshoulde35
Im getting the idea it's going to be very motor specific as far as pipes to match the port work...

Cam built my 10mm Cub also. I had OG Rockets on it to begin with. Bought a set of BB Shearers and ran them. I don't think I even talked to him about it. I just did it. special06shee
If i was competing in timed comps. or truly raced against others im sure i would of tried a set of the bb's for sure! But for what i do with my shit turd i kinda was after a broad curve so i am totally cool with giving up some hp on the big end.

locogato11283
Now that I am home and not typing from my phone, I will expand on my previous post. What I mean in saying that a certain pipe may not work best for every single motor of a certain type, 10mm Cub in this example, is that not everyone uses the motor the same way. Typically, Shearer or any other pipe builder is trying to sell you that their pipe makes the most peak horsepower. In some uses, peak horsepower may not be the best way to go or best for that build. Maybe you need a broad curve or more bottom end opposed to peak horsepower. Set up is key. Pipe choice should be decided on when you understand what you're going to be doing with the motor and how the pipe will affect that.
