Daraji
last night i went riding proud to say my banshee MURDERED my brother's CR250! i think my jetting is perfect 300 mains and 30 pilot's! everything is fine just one thing! See when i shift 1-2-3--4th& 5th gear quickly ( as if im racing ) i get a good grip on my 4th gear but when im riding genetly 1-2-3- 4th( i loose major power on the 4th and 5th gear) why is that? im the first owner of my shee and i have noticed this recently at first i thought it was jetting issue but it isnt first 3 gears are perfect but not fond of 4th and 5th? has anyone encountered this? is it time for me to get me a new clutch kit? is it a problem with my gears? Uf21
does it feel like the clutch is slipping or maybe your just not in power band when gearing up to 4th and 5th
Jereme6655
put your purse down and hammer it. To really feel a hard "pull" in the higher gears....you have to have it revving harder. Hence why when you street race your already way up in the revs trying to run it hard when you shift....
mike0chek
ive always found you need to rev out the last few gears really well if you dont want the next gear to bog.
Daraji
hmmm, i honestly rev it properly it wasnt like what it is now... but i remembered something when i opened my clutchs with the mechanic * stock clutch kit* he removed some rubbers that where i think in between the clutchs he said no need for that and we got into an argument him and I for 10 hours( exaggerating) until i allowed him to go through with the procedure he said on a race clutch kit you wont find these rubber's do u think it has something to do with it? sleeper06
You don't need those rubber pieces in aftermarket clutch, you need a pressure test first then a plug chop to make sure your main is good that's a symptom of lean jetting ,float heights screwed up,wrong needle selection
Finch
ya the rubbers are just for noise good thing to take them out they can get invbetween shit and make a mess have ya done a full throttle run all the way to fiftth then shut her down and looked at your plug could be a lil lean

Daraji
my jetting seem to be fine its not an issue with jets im positively sure i fucking raped my bro's cr on the sand the fuel flow is perfect.......i think it has something todo with my clutchs. and another thing last night when i went out riding my race cable got stuck started to rev i kill switched my bike then it was fine then it happened again but this time my throttle was very stiff anyy clues? ( p.s) i did play with the TORS and i used CARB cleaners aswell
sheerider11
Get rid of that fucking tors. Your not pulling because your not making power. Either your not fucking beating the piss out of it, or your jetting is off. Buy a tors removal kit, do a plug chop. Those rubber bands are junk. You don't need them. Jereme6655
holy hell. How do you know that your jetting is right if you don't know what a plug chop is? I understand that the guys who have been doing this for years can jet by feel pretty decent.....but for fucks sake they still do plug chops to ensure everything is fine! Warm your bike up on your current plugs. Then remove your old plugs and INSTALL BRAND NEW PLUGS....fire the bike up and immediately accelerate through every gear. THEN, as soon as you hit either the top of 6th (or if you feel a stutter....in your case id only run it up to top of 4th gear) squeeze in the clutch and shut off the motor....and COAST to a stop while holding the clutch. Remove your plugs and reinstall the original old ones and go back to camp. THEN YOU NEED TO CUT THE THREADS OFF THE NEW PLUGS to have a clear view to the base of the porcelain on the plug. This is where you can tell whether the bike is running lean, perfect, or rich. A milk chocolate band about 2mm tall from the base is preferred. Any whiter or grey in color indicates a lean condition and any darker than milk chocolate would be rich.
