4 mil stroker jetting with stock carbs driving me nuts

4 mil stroker with ubkown porting stock carbs with pro design airfilter open lid  motor has 22cc cool head 155 psi on a compression test ...im having a major stumble in the middle ....i have 27.5 pilots air screws at 2.5 great off bottonm but stumbles like crazy in the middle for almost 2 seconds befor it will acellerate ...i have 320 mains in it right now the richer i go on the mains the worse it gets ...it has dynojet needles im currently in the 3rd clip from top and the leaner i make it the better it gets ......im fixing this for a friend who got robbed of nearly 4500 dollars to put this thing together and they left it with stock needles 25 mains and 270 jets it wouldent rev at all with the lid on ......it was so lean it blew a hole clean thru the right side piston ...shop bandaided it back together and now im tryin to sort htis out .....ive had a bunch of banshees including a 4 mil very similar but with a set of cylinders done by a place in ny called chuckwagon racing....was an animal even with stock carbs ...i had pods on them with 380 and the dynojet needle full rich ..........can anyone point me in the right direction? thing is killing me ...thanx

Lets rule out electrical problems. Check grounds at coil and engine to frame and plug wires ends. Then find out if you have oem cdi and coil. Then i would find out about those needles.. maybe swap some stockers in to see if it changes anything

Ha ha bro chuck wagon is the reason I started porting motors,if he could do it I felt anyone can.i live in seaford if you need help let me know I'm guessing you should pressure test the motor before you go any further he was notorious for reusing seals and I have been building motors more than a little bit,pm me and ill send you my number
