toytech
what are the pro's and con's on going to a no link rear shock setup for a duner drag quad ?
Finch
only advantage is weight.
Nightmare
I thought it had something to do with the geometry of the frame or some shit like that
Finch
ya unless you change where your shock mount is the geometry sucks to and makes for a shitty ride
n2otoofast4u
Promotes wheelies
shanYE west
Link setups provide a progressive rate. I prefer link setups myself. Everyone will have a different opinion.
toytech
thanks guys I'll probably just keep the link. sounds like it's better for duning.
trickedcarbine
Promotes wheelies Can you elaborate a bit? I'm considering a no link conversion on my TT bike just for that reason but I wanna make sure it's the right move.
camatv
you like to wheelie your TT bike? the geo changes on the rear. not that the OEM chassis works worth a crap if you remove the link but hey..
trickedcarbine
Not that I like to wheelie it, but I certainly need the bike to move as much the weight to the rear tires as possible for maximum hook up out of the turns. The way I see it, front end in the air is better then the tires blowing off. I don't just want a no link with a laid down shock. I would like to do it with a new upper perch mounted off the top frame rails. Something like this...
