heat cycle questions

ATVridingmaniac sent me a PM about how I'm an idiot because i said heat cycles arent necessary. Let it warm up then ride. Anyone know the age of this person?

I posted how i was told by brandon how to heat cycle an engine and you laughed like a little girl saying it was bullshit, not necessary and what not. Way to support your sponsors and look like an idiot, fail mod.

No there was another thread about this. Where he was talking shit about something he is clueless on. All I was doing was trying to help sum1 break a bike in according to how Brandon told me. Lilstvn thought that was a joke apparently and pretty much said how Brandon suggests doing heat cycles was wrong and other crap.

Talk to 10 different builders, you'll get 10 different answers. I personally have never broke a motor in doing heat cycles. Why?? Because no one ever suggested it. I've heard you want to seat the rings the way your gonna ride it. I've also heard the analogy of dragsters that are tore down and rebuilt every run, do you see them heat cycle and break in motors? Get to the line and let it rip. So stop taking it so personal, that some guy on the Internet, who you may never meet, took a shot at you.

If you are going to tear down an engine after every run why would you take the time to heat cycle or break it in? Those guys have sponsors and deep pockets.. I oni the other hand do not have either.. I want my shit to last.. Thereforei try to break it in the way i feel is correct.. To each their own i guess.

 

Maybe we should start talking about which premix oil is the best???? Lol

Oh i know its just the fact that he thought it was a joke and that im talking nonsense even when suggested by a well known builder and site sponsor. That method isnt from me personally, and Specially when its being said from a site moderator talking shit like that, kinda bad business imo you should show support towards how a good builder gives advice not bash it, but its whatever i guess.

Personally I cycle all mine a few times just depends on the motor if its a normal build no noss or nothing I try and cuclebit 3-4 times with the 3rd and 4th riding it easy. On a noss motor give it a couple and cycles to cheek for leaks and hold out in it because the bore should he looser and rings gapped looser. So it takes more heat to get everything spread out and sealed up.
