slobanshee
Those of you tuning on alky with egt's what kind of temps are your setups happy with? Obviously each will vary from the other. Just wondering where others are having success
trickedcarbine
I did a thread in EGT's a while back in he drag section. I got a lot of cage answers though as every one had different resadings for different placement of the probes. I would ask Camatv. He seems to have done a lot of data logging type stuff in the past. Crazykane
I would read the plug get it where you want it. Then you will have a temp to tune back to when the weather changes.
springer
i run/tune until it feels the best, seems to vary, but on my bike i seemed to do best around 800-850. that is kinda low compared to my buddy's egts, but any higher and it wouldnt run as strong. but i did just getnew pipes this winter so not sure what they will prefer. slobanshee
I expected variances. Just ordered an egt setup and was curious of the temps others had success
n2otoofast4u
Its gonna be different depending on where the bung is in the pipe, fuel used, all kinds of shat. IMO the egt is a tunning tool much like and AFR guage. You will need to either dyno it and see at what temp it makes the most power, or on the track, or like previous mentioned tune off the plugs then you always have a number to work back to.
