Shee4life
Hey fellow banshee riders I have a 2001 banshee with some mods done and it was stolen some years back! The local police found it a year later and it was trashed and chopped! Im currently in the process of restoring it and need help with the choices of twist throttle or thumb. It had a twist throttle on 34 mm keihins, they took it off a and put a stock thumb throttle on it and tgereis a lot of play. I want to keep a thumb throttle on it but the carb kit thats on it is made for twist throttle, is there any cables out there that allows for a thumb throttle on 34mm keihin carbs, Ive had bad experience with the twist throttle when I first bought the bike used and id like to keep it thumb! Any advice would be appreciated thanx guys!

sheerider11
I rode a twist for the last 12 years. Then I rode one with a thumb. I will never ride a twist again.Really? Why is that? I personally enjoy my thumb and will not get a twist, but I would like to hear it from somebody coming the other way.
Starwriter
This is as old as Ford vs Chevy, Coke vs Pepsi, Gay vs straight. But I can tell you with lots of power trying to do tight, technical, up hill, trail stuff, you will crash less often with a thumb. I used to think thumb was for pussies... and I crashed a LOT. possum
for me. thumb for 100+hp just feels safer. i run twist on duners all day no problem.
sheerider11
I think you misread his post. Nope. 12 years on a twist is a shit load of seat time and experience. I wanna know what made him go to thumb and stay with that. After that amount, I figured some one would be pretty set in there way.
