foxrider603
So I bought my banshee without compression. And spark I fully rebuilt the top end and have great compression now I'm working on the spark issue. I bought a new stator the old one tested fine but got a new one anyway. My coil test fine, boots were bad replaced them. The only thing I can think of replacing now is the cdi but I'm completely broke right now so I have to wait to do that. I did notice though that the only thing that was ground on my bike was this little silver metal box next to my cdi. I have all my plastics off the bike and chasing wires hoping that maybe I have a broken wire or something isn't grounded. The Guy that owned it before me made a mess of the wire harness. So what's supposed to be grounded and where and if you have pictures of what to ground would be so helpfull

foxrider603
So I just put a wire to any bolt on the motor to the frame it doesn't matter where?
Larry's Shee
Make sure there is no rust on stator poles and flywheel timing nubs, set pick-up gap .018". Was recent thread dealing with grounding, was suggested to run seperate wires from units either to main harness or directly back to engine. Larry's Shee
Is TORS and parking brake brains disabled?
hoppedupandcutdown
If you have NO key switch, be sure the red/black and black wires are tied together that used to go to it.
foxrider603
Nothing of the tors remains on the bike , everything is clean in the stator compartment and gaped. Correctly. My key has been bypassed and the red and black wire to it is twisted together and grounded, kill switch is now grounded. And the black wire that goes into the coil is connectted but not sure if its grounded it goes back into the wire harness. What's left or am I missing something or did I do something wrong
hoppedupandcutdown
Kill switch black/white should only be grounded to kill it. Make sure the black wire bullet connecter coming from the stator is hooked up.
