bansheesandrider
Why would anybody want to go to Sandlake? It is flat, overrode, and full of unsupervised kids. Head south to the big dune!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J Whitehurst
I prefer the south dunes too. We go to SL once a year for the Valentines day ride to see all our riding friends but it is not as much fun. Have a good time, we will be at the Oregon Dunes raceway tuning our drag bikes. 96B
Yeah, I used to always ride sand lake and save Florence and Winchester for the summer, I couldn't justify the trip to Winchester just for the day, but I can't stand sandlake anymore. If I can't do a day trip to Winchester I don't ride.
onlyonelife79
Sand lake is a good quick dial in spot for the day (jetting, break in, whatever). convenient to the further northwestern folks. easily agreed its beaten down, kiddy playground and once you've gone south, you will say the same. tyler73
I like sandlake over oregon southern dunes and this why at sand lake there is no hazzards like drop offs or Razorbacks so I can have more fun going fast and not have to worry although I have only been to Florence and Winchester Bay both once but in my sand rail I was not impressed with those places
bansheesandrider
If you think Sandlake is better than the southern dunes, you better sell your Banshee and get a Yamaha Breeze. Even my daughter said the southern dunes were better when she was 10 years old. As was said, Sandlake is fine for a test and tune day, but it is over rode and over ran with unsupervised kids. If you want a good ride, HEAD SOUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dave5.0
Not heard that one before. We are closer to sandlake than the other spots. It's good for a day trip. Riding is ok not a bad time. But the southern dunes are WAY better. Lots more to see, places and terrain to ride. And I haven't even been to all of them. izzo
I'm up in Astoria. We hit up sand lake because it isn't to far south. Not sure when you guys have went. But the 10 times I've been down over the last year, even on a holiday when there were a ton of people. It wasn't that crowded and was easily able to get around. No waiting, no close calls nothing. It does beat the piss out of you tho. Choppy sand.
