Turbo Chassis
they work alot more than every 10-12 passes if you have them on a mild tune and arent pushing the guts out of them....ours ran about 10 3.80 passes back to back to back with me on it in a stock chassis, not lightweight 160 lb rider, stock stroke stock cylinder 66 bore, stock carb, stock head....they run good once dialed in and not being pushed to there limits.. our only problem, like most people we dont like to be consistant and have fun lol we wanted to push it to run harder, which we did, it just happened to make it wreck alot more parts, nothing major, just stupid little things. If you are conservative with them, you can make a stock cylinder stock carb stock stroke setup run with alot bigger motors, if you push them you can really open some peoples eyes, but your going to have to turn some wrenches
trickedcarbine
Sounds like a good time. I honestly think I like wrenching as much as the riding. I just don't like wrenching till 4 am the night before the race be still not being able to get it to run right.

camatv
the good suggestions in this thread are absolutely right. anyone who thinks a 100+hp banshee in trails is easy to ride has never rode a 70hp bike in the trails.. 70-80hp with good tq qualities is going to be a handfull for most any rider there is. also not sure if your trying to make an "all around bike" but it just dosent happen. think of it like a sliding scale one end is drag other end is dunes/ trails. the setups are totally different and the ruslts are just as different. if you want a "fun bike to drag race" its NOT going to be a "fun bike for tight trails" just not going to happen... turbo's seem to work just fine for those that can tune and are willing to make advances in part reliability when they break.. i'm planning on doing one in the next few years. for the same reason just something to play with and have fun on. i am going to try some really off the wall concepts with mine tho. if they done work so what. Coupelx
Ive been tossing the idea around too cam. Ive got enough stuff for a stock cylinder engine. Turbos are nothing new to me but blow thru carbs would be a learning experience.
