she_rides_nice
Hay guys, got a 2000 shee fmf pipes, top end was factory. Low compression(90psi) gave me a good reason to rebuild. Im not a motor guy this is my first rebuild but im not stupid. I know this aint right lol. Question is how did this happen and where did the ring go????? sheerider11
Maybe out the exhaust, maybe down in the crankcase.
trickedcarbine
Split the cases! If you are missing any metal and can't account for it, you need to be 100% sure it's not in the crank case

she_rides_nice
its still started up and ran, and i dont think it would beable to get past the 2nt ring?
sheerider11
Anything is possible. But if you don't want to then don't. But do not come on here asking why your crank blew up,you hear a rattling sound, your crank seal is leaking after you do this top end. lil Doobie420
could that be from piston raddle
sheerider11
could that be from piston raddle Not likely, but like I've said nothing's impossible. You see more broken skirts from that. Rattle is how it's spelt. A snagged ring will rip it out. I'm on my phone so it's hard to see it clearly. Is there any part left of it? Could it have been left out on the last rebuild? gjone5
How do the cylinders look? I highly doubt it made it past the other ring.
gjone5
I'm going through the same ordeal. I have a 2000 banshee and low compression. Getting ready to tear it apart in a few minutes. Now you got me wondering what mine is gonna look like...
she_rides_nice
theres no part left of it, and like I said im not an expert but the cylinders look fine. I dont think its ever been rebuilt. I already sent cylinders out to "Full Bore" to get bored and honed
KINGpimp
So lost ring and no gashes or wear on cylinders? No rough areas?
