banshee shift timing off?

Recommended Posts

ok so last summer i was riding up north and i think i ran it a little hot. anyway ever since then in like 3rd and sometimes 4th gear it bogs down pretty bad but doesnt do that so much any more and when i shift from 5th to 6th it delays about 5 seconds  after i let off the clutch from shifting and im not sure whats wrong? Im going to rebuild it in a week or so ill start on that, also it almost sounds like the left piston is rubbing against the cylinder when i give it gas. any help about the shifting and rubbing sound is much appreciated!!

whoa  that all sonds pretty bad.  time for a tear down and inspection.

the gears MIGHT have scuffed and damaged the shaft and the gears themselves.  if you tear the trans all the way down there will be burn marks on the shafts and on the gears.  also in really bad instances the gears themselves will turn black from heat damage.   most of the time if its that bad its from debris also.
