Paulie B
I'm tired of it. I don't like the way my boss puts down the fact that I like the whole drag banshee scene. I def not an official member but I will be some day. He just bought a 13' Shelby GT500. He say "It will beat any 4 wheeler". I don't believe that. My just for fun question to you guys is what would it take to beat his car in the 1/8th mile. Would a 1/4 mile race even be possible? joewest
Ive seen videos on youtube of a banshee beating a hayabusa in the 1/4, if it can beat a busa, it would murder that gt500. Im sure it would cost alot to make one that fast tho.
Pasi S.
I have a full stock a-arm frame, 240 rider. Ported ss/sc motor, pump gas. oof pipes. 16-42, 20x8-10 sd 23 AR tires. Strutted, +6 swing and wheelibar. 7.94 1/8 is my best. If I can remember right the 1/4 was 12.6 but not 100% sure yet. Hope this helps a little. fappy'97
An 8 second Banshee would not beat him unless he is a really bad driver. If you run anywhere in the 6's, you will be able to take him. There is no way any quad would come close at 1/4 mile.

I'm assuming you have no asphalt drag experience. The only way you can prove anything to him is to race him, but he will probably win against someone with no asphalt drag experience. I wouldn't even consider a 1/4 mile race with out experience. There's a few of us that could run circles around him in the 1/4, even with a stock stroke cub. It's really not about a size of motor, its more about the overall set-up.

We have beat a few 1/4 mile also, but we have also been beat too.
Pasi S.
Paulie B. I would like to ad, that my set up is far away from good. I do asphalt drag just for fun. I have 100% tranny and Driveline clutch. I´m a poor rider aswell. Is that GT500 really that fast? Under 7 in 1/8? WOW, I didn´t know. Most stockers seem to run 6.95-7.1 at 100-110mph...

Paulie B
He's a pretty boy racer. He doesn't have any experience himself. I do know them 13' GT500's have 660hp. Every time he trys to drive it fast it just spins the tires. I had an 07' GT500 for a short while. It was garbage on the stock tires all they way till 3rd. SlowerThanYou
Here' the 1st run & I don't think he was running the nitrous. I was toying with him & made it a closer race than he thought.

SlowerThanYou
Here's the second race & he was licking his chops as he turned on the nitrous bottle. He met with the same results, a loss.
SlowerThanYou
None at all sir! I would just like to go back and run my mouth that he is wrong haha Tedder & I have posted a few 1/4 mile time slips in the drag section a long time ago. We have improved on the times substantially, but don't post the slips anymore.
Paulie B
Fuck yeah. I'm gonna show him that video. I like the fact that your bike doesn't look super stretched out and more like a regular quad.
