thomas h. Posted March 2, 2013 Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 I'm not boiling over at 235* but that is too hot and it doesn't cool off if I slow down. So I think the pipes have enough clearance to keep from cooking the radiator. I have got the high pressure cap, double row radiator , water wetter , billet impeller. Any ideas ? Maybe JD can make you some air scoops for that radiator, it's stock location jammed between the motor and the pipes prob isn't getting enough air Have you considered a YFZ fan?? Aren't you running the stock plastics or did you remove the radiator scoop portion? it won't cool off when you slow down...you need to be MOVING for the air to cool the radiator off. Water temps were never over 180 on mine (stock radiator, stock radiator cap, plastic impeller, engine ice). Cylinder temps reached 220 max.
