BLOODRAGE
Is it possible to use a spacer plate on a stock cylinder for a 4mil crank? Or is a 4mil jug needed
sheerider11
Listen, I had the plate. Now I'm running cut domes and 4 mil porting. I wasted about 200 not doing right the first time. I was probably down on power with the plate too. The plate is no good at all. There should be no reason to run it. Just do it right the first time. camatv
might be ok if the cyls are totally stock. but in my opinion a decently built 350 can smoke a 4 mill if its screwed up in the build.. the transfer port numbers get all nutty and just dont work at all. trickedcarbine
Do your self a favor and ditch the plate and have domes cut for the stroker. You will need to have the porting done as well. Don't bother doing it with out port work, because it won't run near its potential and you will just end up taking it apart to do it later any way
BLOODRAGE
So when u say porting,do you have to lower the transfers to match the stroke? Awhile back I asked chucky at superior sleeve about getting the old stock stroke ss jug I had set up for a 4mil,he said it could be done but it wouldn't idle.pretty much told me what had to be done was to cut the transfers lower and use edelbrock epoxy to lower the top of the transfers and exhaust.am I makin any sence?lol Tony at tdr pretty much said the same, only difference was he said it would be easyer with a degree wheel

sprinklerman
Sounds like you called the wrong people... If he called TDR and actually explained himself (better than he types on here) then he called the right guy. Tony knows his stuff..
