trpkkd
Looking for a good all around trail tire to fit my 8in douglas blue labels? There's only a few that are 20+ inches tall was thinking maybe maxxis razr or super grip stingers? Are there anymore decent tires for 8in. rims that are over 18in? trpkkd
How are they in the looser stuff?
Scrubtherubber
their pretty good all around connect pretty good in the sand pits, the best tire I had was the spyder tracs but I dont know if they make them anymore? Also this was all on a blaster never ran 8's on a bigger machine
trpkkd
I have two sets of douglas blue labels that are 8in I plan on running at least a 20x10x8's I had 20x11x9's before But one of my 9in rims has a split in it.
Burke
you'll destroy blue labels riding anywhere but sand... check out Douglas' disclaimer on those wheels. I have some standard Holeshots that are 20x10x8... not the greatest tire in the desert but they hook up decent in the dirt
ATVridinMaNiAc
Kenda Kutters that i run are awesome in trails, good for various types of terrain, bite hard as hell and roost alot, good longevity also.
trpkkd
So the blue labels are too weak to trail ride? I live in Northern MI and its mostly sand and hard pack not too many rocks or anything that I don't plan on launching the quad and I was going to buy 20in tires wouldn't that be enough to cushion the rim? trickedcarbine
Michigan ORV trails will kill blue labels

trpkkd
OK I have a set of Douglas red labels but is there a way to repair an aluminum rim it has been hit at some point in time to where it cracked the aluminum it's not real bad but it leaks slowly. I can take pics later.

Or take a look at the new cst pulse
trickedcarbine
Definitely look for a set that puts a 20" tire out back for trail riding. These banshees just don't have the clearance to run 18" tires in rough trails.
trpkkd
Yea I figured I'd go with either 20's or 22's not sure yet.
