JAGeSage
Picked up a sweet 87 shee mostly stock. Apparently some motor work done, but no bolt ons and such. Haven't ripped it apart yet, but checking plugs and everything yesterday, pistons look brand new on top. Plugs looked fine. pushin 130lbs on each side. I will know more once I tear into it. What basic mods should I go with? Was thinking the Timing plate, and some pipes. Any Suggestions for mild trail riding and such?
oldskool
Just clean carbs/filter, do a leakdown test. If the leakdown test is good, I'd ride the hell out of it. Plenty of time for tear downs. With 130 psi you just need to ride

JAGeSage
Did a leakdown test after I bought it, Leaked around reeds, fixed it, Carbs were cleaned. Guy I bought it from said it wasnt runnin right, he brought it by I made 800$ and anew quad off of him trading mine. Definitely a sweet trade. Brand new topend on it pistons have a shine through plug holes. The guy figured it was a blown motor. But it runs sweet and rips. Runs awesome. Will definitely just pipe and jet, and run it. Thanks guys
