So Cal Suspension Posted February 21, 2013 Report Share Posted February 21, 2013 You need a spring compressor, and I BELIEVE once you have the tension off of the spring, the lower eyelet unthreads off the shaft. Rustynail Posted February 22, 2013 Report Share Posted February 22, 2013 put them upside down in a vice the use ratchet straps to compress the spring down towards the workbench then remove the plate on top (really the bottom but its upside down) the releive pressure and slide the spring off. So Cal Suspension Posted February 22, 2013 Report Share Posted February 22, 2013 450 shocks use a C-shaped spring retainer. I'm not sure banshee shocks work that way.
