ClayAiken
Hey guys I just finished stripping the banshee yesterday and before I put it back together I want to check everything and was wondering how do you check the water pump? This is what i did, Took the main plastic cover off, Took the smaller metal cover off. I made sure that there were no broken fins what what i could see from the outside, Next i tried to spin the impeller by hand to check to see if my gear was stripped out. After that make sure theres no corrosion or buildup and throw it back together. Thats how i checked mine without taking my clutch cover off. trickedcarbine
Never question a water pump if you aren't sure what you have. With the stock one, even if it is fine now, there is no point in putting it together now just to roast the top end when it fails. Get a quality Billit pump impeller, new bearing, new seal, gasket, & plate.
