Larry's Shee
pics / drawings/specs or you're lying. At least diamond J uses steel
icytea132
Ok aside from all this shit talk above; One if your going to just bolt on aluminum to where you shock mount is the bolt the shock onto the aluminum, the first hard bump you hit is going to push your shock and your contraption up 3 inches. Also if you are welding.. It's not gonna happen. Can't weld two diff materials like the for keeps. Maybe redesign a-arms, I think people use 4130, or 4140 chromoly steel, I think it's 4130..
icytea132
I guess either wouldn't really make much of difference, but what do I know.

sheerider11
I mean normally we're all for people trying stupid shit on this site and give BS advice. But if everyone is telling you not to do it, I think that says something. It's fun to tell your friend to do something stupid and get hurt. But not to intentionally kill them. You cant weld aluminum and steel together.. Like everyone else is saying, save yourself some time an money, throw your kit away and save up for the right stuff, why put yourself at risk. So Cal Suspension
ya im not lying on this one and as i said i want real helpful tech notes from any one who has worked with somthing like this Ok, here goes. Don't do it. You're going to die. Moving your a-arm pivots outwards even with proper materials is one of the worst things you can do unless this thing is going to be 100% asphalt, and you won't even be hitting a bump larger than a crack in the road. Also, why are you designing a kit that is already available on ebay for next to nothing? 3 inches per side, works like shit, dangerous, and shouldn't be legal to sell. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Banshee-350-A-arms-Shocks-ATV-Widening-Kit-6-/310217237573?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item483a636445&vxp=mtr
