Burt Reynolds Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 In my circle of friends we have had a vito's hemi head, vito's stroker kit/cylinders,vitos big bore kit, stock style crank. Never had any problems with any of it. The big bore kit was slow, but never broke. Now this is not to say they havent made bad stuff,im sure they have, but nothing i have personally seen or used was bad. Of course if your patient i have seen hot rods go as low as 310. Quote
JAGeSage Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Price isnt an issue, i was just curious about their product. Quote
sheerider11 Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 I have a Vito's 4 mil crank that I beat the living piss out of. Have some long hard abusive hours on it. Quote
Larry's Shee Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Yea, let us know how that works out for you... As if none of your "builders" haven't pedaled shitty cranks? Wang this Quote
trickedcarbine Posted February 19, 2013 Report Posted February 19, 2013 Actually the newer style Vito's 4mils are supposed to be pretty stout. I had one in my hand and the rods are beefy! I think the stock stroke was supposed to be updated as well but I havn't looked. Quote
camatv Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 if the 10 mill is "better quality" i'd consider it on a build i'm doing.. Quote
icytea132 Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Last winter around this time I bought a Vito's stoke stroke crank and like sheerider said, I worked the crank pretty damn hard, from sand to trail to 2-3 tanks of gas rides on roads all year long, I also used there superstock piston kit. Once I put it all together I had 110 compression in each cylinder. I recently crashed the bike and redoing it all so I checked the compression and I have 115 in each cylinder and the rings mated so nice with my cylinder walls... Anyways. I'm recommend Vito's. I think they make a good product but you'll have your pros and cons. Some get good parts others just get the ehh it'll be alright parts. Quote
