joewest
Im thinking about getting +2 a-arms. Do they help alot? I mainly ride trails and fields im not worried about the clearance i dont ride super tight trails. I also need new shocks because these stock ones really suck or there wore out. Would the cheaper works be pretty good shocks? Ive seen them with or without reserviours wat are they for? I have a stock swingarm, i saw that u can get a-2 swingarm why would u get a shorter one? Wondering if i should get a shorter one or longer? My banshee doesnt wheelie unless i pull up on the handle bars even on concrete it will just spin. Rustynail
Your on the right track +2 a arms and Works will be a big improvement. The works tripple rates are the ones with rezzys. but dual rates would probably be ok for trails. MX racers go with a shorter swinger to help with cornering and put more body weight over the wheels for traction. not required for trail riding. +2 or +4 would be max for a trail bike. joewest
Ok thanks. So i should get the dual rates. U think i should leave my swinger stock length?
Rustynail
yeah stock lenth is fine until you add more power. I would make sure to get a wider rear axle to match the extra width in the front so it doesnt look goofy.
joewest
Ok where would b a good place to purchase suspension parts? Works rear shock pretty good? Right now i can sit on my grab bar and it almost bottoms out.
Rustynail
if it sits that low in the back the shock is blow. Matt at Socal Suspentions (a sponsor here) can rebuild your stock rear shock to your weight. just look under sponsors tab.
joewest
Would it be worth getting it rebuilt or just getting a aftermarket one? Like works or elka
Rustynail
If your budget allows for it go Elka. by far better than stock but not all of us can afford it. I have 450 fronts on one banshee and bought a basket case with works tripple rates but havent gotten to test those out yet.
joewest
What all do u have to change to put 450 fronts on? Are they better than the works dual rates? What do u use for rear?
Rustynail
Works are better, 450 shocks just an upgrade form stock. but not as good as aftermarket.
joewest
Ok cool thanks man. If i get +2 a-arms ill need longer stocks too right?
icytea132
I believe you should be alright aslong as your a-arms aren't some form of (lowering) they Should still have the the stock mount
