albecao88
Hello everyone, I just bought a banshee from a guy that didn't know much about it. All he said was that it is very fast. I took out the head to put a new gasket and I noticed that the pistons were 4 millimeters over the cylinders and the head was shaved 4 millimeters. I have the pistons numbers which are D01J1 795M06400. I would like to know if this means that this engine is a 4 mil or what? The compression is around 150. If you guys can help me that would be great so I dont have to take the motor apart. Thanks.

shanYE west
4mil crank would only give you 2mm over deck. 795 pistons would indicate a long rods
albecao88
Thanks everyone for your quick response. Now i know what i have thanks
Pasi S.
I´m no pro, but can that be a 7mill longrod? He is saying 4 mm over the cylinder! If I can remember right the 4mill would be close to 1.7mm over the deck. (not saying, just thinking)
Pasi S.
If your head is still off, just measure the stroke. You allready know it´s stock bore and the piston for long rod.
albecao88
Im sorry guys i was wrong it wasn't 4 millimeter over its actually 2 millimeters. Does anybody have an idea how many cc's it could be? Thanks for your help.
apeik
If you read the piston, it means its a 795 series piston, which is made to go with a longrod crank(+5 mm, which is a 115mm rod), the wristpin is moved up to account for the longer rod, so port timing doesn't change. The 6400 stands for a 64mm bore. So in all likelihood, its a 350 cc motor, with a longrod crank. Unless the cylinders are ported and its a 4 mil. No way to tell without pulling a jug. apeik
Nm just read last post, 2 mil out the head is a 4 mil most likely with cut domes, what is that, 370?
albecao88
Im sorry i don't understand, what do you mean 370?
ATVridinMaNiAc
373cc is a standard bore 4mil stroked banshee. If its been bored then it will be a little more then 373.
