So Cal Suspension
Yea I figured I needed new needles for sure as I have straightened them out twice with pliers after I've bent them. But it does dump out the overflow. So I take that carb off and apart and clean it. Then try again and the other carb is doing it. It seems to me that my junk is cursed. Not those needles. The needle and seat is inside the carb bowl. It's a small brass piece with a rubber "cone" tip. It's what actually lets fuel into your carb as it's needed when the float drops below a certain level. #29 in this diagram.
Starwriter
Uh, no. Float needle and seat. Yes, they do wear out.
Starwriter
Matt beat me to it, but it's actually 29 in the pic.
So Cal Suspension
Matt beat me to it, but it's actually 29 in the pic. Yeah, I'm lysdexic. I knew it was 29, too. I even searched to find him the part on PJ Motorsports... I'll fix it... lol
HolySheet
Alright, would having my carb bowls swapped make it dump fuel? I noticed my choke isn't working.
Starwriter
Left bowl should have a brass ball pressed into the outside at the bottom front.
HolySheet
All together. Cleaned needle and seat and does fine. Runs but lots of smoke and revs real slow. My jetting was perfect before it originally broke so I think that's fine. And spark is good, so I'm confused.
Starwriter
I'll bet you have the slides swapped. The cutaway on the bottom of the slide should be towards the air filter. If you have them swapped, the cutaway ends up towards the motor and it runs super rich. If that's not the problem, then the motor and pipes are probably loaded up with fuel from you kicking it with no spark. Go run the shit out of it to clear it out. HolySheet
Right again. It would never run or run right without you guys. Thanks a lot.
Starwriter
Cool!!! Glad you got it. Now go kick ass on some Raptors. But remember, like I tell all my friends, I'll help you work on your bikes, but if you run unmixed fuel and melt down the motor, you're on your own. HolySheet
Haha, no straight gas. It's much cooler to run diesel.
