Tors question

You can actually deactivate the TORS by just unplugging the control box under the left side of the fuel tank, next to the coil. If you do that it will eliminate all the problems the TORS system causes. Then if you remove the wires from the harness, and install a COMPLETE TORS removal kit(carb caps, throttle cable, and drill and tap the carbs for idle screws) it will look much cleaner and be far easier to work on. As for the park brake rev limiter, only 97 and newer bikes have it- it is a green/yellow wire in the harness that you want to cut at the CDI box plug, cut it on the bike side of the plug. You do NOT want that wire to see ground as that is what activates the rev limiter.

Yeah but since im going 4 mil and getting bigger carbs anyway, I shouldn't need the emilinator kit right?

Correct. You will still need a new throttle cable though. To eliminate the TORS switch from the thumb throttle, remove the switch, chop off the wires, slide off the rubber grommet, fill the hole in the grommet with black silicone sealer, and put the grommet back in the thumb throttle.
