What to do if not going to ride banshee for months?

What are the typical procedures if the banshee is not going to be ridden in months (summer)?

All I have done is emptied the tank from the gas line the leads to the petcock.

Also what should be done before riding it the first time after months of being off?

I put mine up for 3 1/2 years. Just emptied the tank and carbs. Pulled the bowls and put a shot of WD-40 in the carbs to keep them from corroding. Pulled the spark plugs and dumped a touch of two stroke lube down the cylinders and turned it over by hand to get the parts lubed up. Put the plugs back in. Also unplugged all electrical components and put dialectric grease on every connection. I put a shot of lube on every single moving part and gave grease to every zerk fitting.

It's not much work and there are actually some guys who do almost every bit of that minus the oil in the cylinders after every ride and wash.

I don't ever do anything except purge my alky bike.   But I do go out and start it every 3 or 4 weeks just to get a good dose of the 2 stroke smell, Lol!  Sometimes I take the weight off the rear to keep from folding my paddles, don't know if it is really needed.

I also put it up on the jack to keep the tires off the ground. If it's a hauler it will fold the paddle.

I drain the tank and carbs, clean the filters and put them back on without oil. I also add more pressure to my tires.

Last time my bike was sitting 6 months out side... under a "ATV cover". There was 1ft hard snow and ice on top of it. LOL!

With fresh gas it started after fourth kick.

Good thing it doesn't snow where I live, lol.

I have emptied my tank including the reserve but there is still a tiny bit left in there. Would it be okay just to pour new fuel over it when I go to ride it next time?

There was no problem to begin with for it to be solved.
