she_rides_nice
hay guys gota a 2000 shee, stock motor, stock bore, stock stroke, stock carbs. running fmf fatty pipes with fmf silencers, boost bottle, sotck air box and k&n filter. I removed tors last weekend and rebuild the carbs I noticed main jets are 200 which I think are stock, and I didnt look at pilot's. I live in WI ride at an elevation of anywhere from 800' to 1300'. I do most of my riding in summer when its anywhere from 60 to 100 degrees. In winter its anywhere from -15 to 50. Wondering what are good sizes for summer riding? And winter? any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!
Colby
200 is low ... i would start at 270main.. stock pilots (25).. needle 3rd clip .. may be a bit rich but its a good starting point
she_rides_nice
On the needle clip do u mean 3rd from the bottom or 3rd from the top
bluebanshee98
do yourself a favor.... ditch the boost bottle and take the lid off the air box but store it somewhere. if your concerned about water getting in, dont worry it will be fine as long as the water you go into isnt higher then the airbox top itself. throw in 27.5 pilots. in the summer your gonna run 280 mains. in the winter your going to have to bump up to around 300. this will get you pretty darn close on jetting. you will have to do some more fine tuning but this will be a great start. she_rides_nice
Should I be worried about dust with lid off? I mean I am runnin a k&n with a cover? And what do I put in place of boost bottle?
Colby
3rd down starting at the top ... use stock crossover tube in place of boost bottle... dont worry about dust, just keep an eye on your filter and clean regularly
