So it's not a Wang crank right?

Who assembled the motor?

Did I read you blew up another motor too?

I assembled the motor.... I use to work at my uncles shop so im not new to assembly I couldn't even begin to guess how many I have put together I do t think assembly was the problem....

 

My 4stroke blew the day before but that was professionally built

 

It's not a Wang crank but I talk to to other builders including Redline who said I dhould at least have I stalled HR rods but I went the cheap route And got the sponsors crank the rods are labeled G-115

OK, so let me get this straight.. You started this thread with what intention?

 

YOU assembled the motor, YOU went the cheap route with the crank and YOU had another motor blow up the day before...

 

It seems to me that you're the common denominator here in this series of unfortunate events.

 

So, what do you expect to happen?

Only reason I'm so irritated is the fact that I asked beforehand about the rods and I was assured that they were as strong or stronger than the more expensive ones

 

If I had not had that conversation beforehand I would probably just take my losses quietly

 

It's not like I'm out here throwing anyone's name out I'm jus sharing

 

Maybe it wasn't the rods Mayb I did something wrong I just don't see how tho I felt like I did everything right I was so freaking careful

 

And the other quad has nothing to do with this it had a 100 hours on it and dropped a valve

Here I will trow the name out there instead of you beating around the bush. You bought the crak from Andy at No Limit Powersports. That being said I have never ran his cranks and know nothing about them but I sure as hell would not be coming on here giving second hand info about what one builder said about another builders parts. I dont think Cameron wants you coming on here spouting info that he supposidly said about the cranks. Sounds like to me you had a air leak motor tried to seize you throttled through it and when the piston froze the rod did the only thing he could do and that was break and shit itself out the side of the cases. If you would have had another crank that may have happened may not have but starting this thread is not the way to get the builder to help you out on this deal.

He was only speaking about the "no name" cranks in general. he said nothing towards any other builder

 

Also i did speak to andy he told me we wil work something out whrn he opens 2morrow

 

I never started this thread to start any confusion i only wanted to vent. Then i answered questions..

I'm just curious about what you think Andy should do for you. Do you think you should get a whole new motor or what?

Yes I called Andy before the thread

 

He wants a chance to look at the pics and parts so we can figure out what happen...

 

He said he will help me out with new parts. If he determines that it was just a weak rod and nothing else contributed to it then hell yeah I want another motor....

I admit this thread turned into something it shouldnt have. But damn loco i seriously started this thread with no ill intentions. My motor blew and I knew some of u guys would feel my pain....
