maskmanLS6
I just bought a set of stock cylinders with some awesome port work but they were ported for a 4mill set up. The seller said they would run fine with a stock stroke or a 4 mill crank. What can i expect from them on a stock stroke?
joshb
From what I understand if its ported for a 4 mill crank then that's what needs to be ran. Would it work ? Probably. Would it work right ? Probably not
Finch
Do you know who ported it ?
Jereme6655
it probably will RUN........just run like dog shit or be a total pain in the ass to get up into the revs. UNLESS......the guy was running a spacer plate for the 4mil crank and was saying it was ported. Larry's Shee
What the fuck? Slap the bitch together and run it if you have the right pistons for your rod length. My son's is an unported 4mil and has gobs of torque, is it the fastest? Well fuck no you asshole! Does HE like it? Yes, and that's all that fucking matters. JMHO, Your results may, and will vary. And I don't give a fuck either way
Larry's Shee
None of this was aimed at anyone in particular, especially to O P, if it doesn't run the way you want, change it up, buy a 4mil, whatever. Maybe get a measurement from top of cyl to top of ex, contact a builder and ask their opinion of how it might run. Didn't see any flamers when someone talks about decking a 7mil cyl to run with a 4mil crank, and that's not much different than my son's set-up. joshb
If the port timings are setup for a 4 mill they'd be wrong for stock stroke right. No one is saying you can't run it . Though I'd have to imagine if its setup for a 4 mill it'd be best with a 4 mill . Best thing I can say is ask a site sponsor and see if they can hook you up with what you need . BigRed350x
The top of your piston will act as the floor on the ports. It will run, but wont be optimal. Grab a 4mil crank and do it right the first time.

maskmanLS6
Hoping they are 4 mill already so i won't have any choice but to do a 4mil and get it over with
