paisaroni_mario
Hey guys.. its me again. Just wondering out of curiosity. Is it possible that I can move up to Cpi inframe pipes from having fmf gold series? Now my banshee again is stock. And I still don't know how much compression its pushing out. & if I can put cpi's what are the minor things, that need to be done before working on the engine. paisaroni_mario
Just read a stock banshee cpi review.. and it helped a lot. But if you guys can add on.. plz go ahead!
special06shee
You can run more or less any pipe you want on a stock banshee. The question is witch pipe will perform best with current setup and your riding style. I personally cant tell you how cpi's will perform on a stock bike. I loved my cpis on my 421 cub tho. You might find out that your current pipe will be the best all around for your motor as of now. Do you plan on building up your motor? paisaroni_mario
Definitely plan on building up the motor.. But I just love the way the cpi's sound. Now I know shearers are good too. I do a lot of riding at Gorman, but I do not take my banshee there. I only take my shee out to the dunes.. dunning and some dragging. Jereme6655
/\ x2 Also there are other things to think of......such as spark arrestors. Shearer pipes (as far as I know) do not have approved sparkies made for them so you may wind up with a ticket if you get caught. I do not know if another companies sparkies will mount up with a little modification or hillbilly ingenuity. But like mentioned....you can change to almost any pipe, you will however have to also change your jetting when you change to a different pipe. Rule of thumb...anything that makes your bike breathe easier (intake OR exhaust) requires AT LEAST a check of the jetting (ie plug chop) if not a change of jets. But personally I wont change a set of pipes just because I believe one pipe SOUNDS better than another. However if it performs better.....well then there may be a change in the future. bluebanshee98
i bought a shee that had a stock motor with unstamped cpi's. i ended up basically parting out a bunch of things on the bike just to get some free shit. i felt that the cpi's where a better pipe then when i got my first shee that had a stock motor and fmf's. since your going to build the motor def keep the cpi's but like the others said whoever you have for a builder will tell you which pipe works best
Banshee Chad
I love mine. runs great, but I mostly dune. midrange is incredible for a stock bike I think.
paisaroni_mario
C'mon it wouldn't be just for the sound of the bike.. I want it to perform better of course. But thanks, im learning as I go. My current pipes have no spark arrestors, im mostly gonna dune, on my shee im not into trail riding, & when I do go hit the trails I ride a Polaris predator.. But im not worried about that bike. All I care about is my sheee!
