sandbum80 Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Engine im buying, 10mill t-rex twister Where can i buy pistons for this engine/gasket set? How far up can the sleeves in the cylinder be bored to, its currently at 75.5mm. What "shelf pipes" are going to be my best option until i can save up enoughf to have a custom set made speciffically for the motors porting/timing What kind of compression do these motors like for alchohol, usually race 3-400ft sand, michigan elevation. Will be running 39pwks Anything i should now about this engine to "help" me, tricks n tips. Thanks in advance Quote
alcoholbanshee Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 I guess firsat question....................which one is it Trex or Twister Quote
sandbum80 Posted January 23, 2013 Author Report Posted January 23, 2013 Sorry roger, it's a trex, the "twister" was just meaning the brand. -Adam Quote
alcoholbanshee Posted January 23, 2013 Report Posted January 23, 2013 Hey Adam..........do you have the old pistons, what crank are you using (assuming 10mil but what rod), who did you buy the top end from. I would say the best place to start would be calling Tony Doukas racing...............they seem to be the go to guys for Trex stuff. Quote
sandbum80 Posted January 23, 2013 Author Report Posted January 23, 2013 I don't have the old pistons, the crank it a 10mill billet twister, 120 rod. I got it from a guy locally. Ill give them a call Quote
trickedcarbine Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Since you think it's a T-Rex but say its a twister brand it might be worth giving Lew a call. They used to have a cylinder pretty close to the Rex's. Hell it could of even been a Rex but just to lees specs. Quote
JUSTWANNARACE Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 Let me know if you need pistons and what size. I have a few sets of trex pistons on the shelf. A good pipe would be a set of racers edge pipes bing that's who made the trex and that what the pipes where designed for. Quote
