same thing happened to mine 2 weeks ago it blew up and the crank locked up, broke a piston skirt too, maybe seized motor, couple hundred dollars you going to need to fix it.  airleak, poor lubrication could have caused this if i were you take the motor apart and see what you find couple tools you need flywheel puller and clutch holder tool, clymers manual would be a good idea.

thanks, its all stock as far as I know, other than the exhaust and aftermarket air filter, I watch the videos a guy posted on YouTube, it had the whole disassembly and reassembly of the engine, didn't look so bad to do as long as you have the parts lol, but I dont know much about banshees just always wanted 1, and know I have 1, I have a guy that's gonna rebuild it for me and he was saying I might as well bore it over or I will continue to have this problem

yo shouldnt have that problem if its jetted correctly and it has the right lubricatin, dont waste bores on banshee jugs only bore when you HAVE too, stupid of him to say bore it over or you will continue to have this problem because bore has nothinng to do with it blowing up.

didnt say that to be a dick, im still learning about them and boost bottles are junk, k&n filter with no lid, or maybe pod filters, v force reeds, adjustable timming plate, mill the head alot of things you can do, i havnt touched my sprokets i just bought new stock ones.

I would do a leak down test before tearing it down just to know if a leak caused my problem or not. A air leak can seize these engines up in a hurry, especially at high rpm's

Best thing to do. Would suck to rebuild the top end to find out your crank seal was what caused the issue. Before you pull it apart do a leak down test
