SlowerThanYou Posted March 10, 2013 Author Report Posted March 10, 2013 I got the wheel back from having it hard anodized. I'm not real happy with quality, but it's just a sand wheelie bar wheel. I have to figure out how I'm going to get the Miller Light logo on it & then clear coat it. Quote
SlowerThanYou Posted March 10, 2013 Author Report Posted March 10, 2013 Here's another one, hope to get the finished product done soon. Quote

SlowerThanYou Posted March 10, 2013 Author Report Posted March 10, 2013 Thats pretty cool. So how is the quality of he aluminum compared to other stuff u have? Do beer cans make worth a shit parts? The aluminum is almost as pure as we can get it. It's pretty soft compared with other aluminum. It has its limitations, but works great for learning machining. I'm lucky to have a sponsor that's a pretty good darn machinist & willing teach. Quote
dave5.0 Posted March 10, 2013 Report Posted March 10, 2013 Cool man. That 1700camaro name, sounds familiar. Other forums? Quote
SlowerThanYou Posted March 10, 2013 Author Report Posted March 10, 2013 Cool man. That 1700camaro name, sounds familiar. Other forums? Yep on different forums. I had 1700camaro on all forums. Then on two of them they got changed. HQ of course is SlowerThanYou & on Planet Sand they changed my name to Slow Banshee. I guess they where worried about something or trying to piss me off. I'm not the fastest, but our performance doesn't resemble either name. I've taking a liking to both names, but prefer SlowerThanYou! Quote
SlowerThanYou Posted March 15, 2013 Author Report Posted March 15, 2013 Here's the stickers I ordered for the wheel. I need to trim the top & bottom a little. Try & get them on straight. Plus, I'm going to use a clear adhesive over it. Quote
SlowerThanYou Posted March 16, 2013 Author Report Posted March 16, 2013 Decals installed on wheel, still need to find the right clear adhesive to protect them. Quote
trickedcarbine Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Use some engine block enamel in clear Quote
