What size pilots/mains suggestions

Recommended Posts

I have a set of good stock carbs. Any input on where I should start with the pilots and mains? I just did a compression test and I have 130 psi on both cylinders. Take a look at my sig to see my combination. Altitude here is 900 feet

since its ported i would throw a 350 in since its cold ( at least here) plug chop then go from there. a proper plug chop reading will tell you to go up or down on the jets

What szie are the acorn nuts? I would like to keep the 12mm OD. But the local ACE store only has them in 13mm

I have no where to ride it around the Milwaukee area. There is a small section of road thats on public land that doesn't see any traffic. Its a pain but I have brought my blaster there to do a wot plug chop. I have to go at least 3 hours to get to the public trails. I was able to tune my blaster the same way. I don't see why I can't do the same with the banshee. Right now I have a 2-1 intake and a 35mm pwk carb. I have the stock carbs and the 2-1. I want to see what one will perform better for my combination.

Does anyone know of a cheap way of doing a wot throttle run while stationary?

Motor needs to be under load.

Run through the gears in the open air or on a dyno as said.

you could hold the rear break real hard, and load it that way up in the air while running it through the gears. Make sure you have a fan going to blow air at your head so its like really riding the thing...... but make sure you video tape it so we can all watch :)

sorry I had to

good luck with the tuning but yea you need to ride it
