turbowrenchhead
I stole my blasters 35 pwk to see if it fits the boot and if it will fire up. I will probably just get another one 35 pwk. I already have a ton of jets and needles for keihin.
turbowrenchhead
Some guys are saying to run a EEK needle. I have an EEG in the garage. That would be a touch richer overall diameter is smaller. I was thinking setting the clip second from the top. I still have to take care of some other issues before I can fire it up again. Plus its like zero degrees here lately. I should probably wait for some warmer weather anyway. Right now there is a 60 pilot and a 180 main. I had it running less then 5 minutes trying to get 3 heats cycles. I shut it down when the coolant started leaking from the head nuts. I went and got some copper washers and acorn nuts to remedy that problem.
trickedcarbine
Definitely on the right track with E series needles. My buddy(domestic Beotch) is messing with Alky needles in his.
turbowrenchhead
I got my clutch case bolt holes helicoiled and replaced my kick gear spring. Old one was worn out. I cured my coolant leak coming from the head nuts. I pulled the needle and popped in the EEG on the second clip. It still has a run away rpm after you crack the throttle a little harder. The idle is funky too. I tried to get it to idle but it keeps going from a low idle to a higher idle back and forth every 5 seconds or so. Playing with the air screw and idle screw didn't really do anything. I need to do a leak down test next when I have time. I ran out of time for today. turbowrenchhead
Remind me again how to determine the pilot size. I had to go 3 1/2 turns out before I noticed an idle change. I have a 60 pilot in there. So do I need to up or down, I forget.
03DMshee
I'm around 900 myself...I don't have porting but I'm dek needle 45 pilot 165 main...50+ miles to tank but twin carbs pull twice as hard in my opinion...
WINDYCITYJOHN400
I ran a DEK needle on a 65 HP bike.
sledhyped
The 2-1 isn't bad I dunno how it compares to dual carbs since I don't have any. But I ran my banshee with a trinity 2-1 kit 33mm pwk, +4 timing, fatty's and it whooped 450s with exhaust and intake at the track. And still trail rode it. What was your jetting? turbowrenchhead
Today I will see how it performs. I'm taking it out on the ice today along with some main jets.
