turbowrenchhead
My elevation is 900 feet. I am running 20 cc domes. The jugs are stage 3 DIY port. I'm getting ready to buy the carb. I was thinking a 34- 36 pwk. What size pilot/mains should I start with?
turbowrenchhead
The intake is a custom setup off a sled that I bought from a board member.
Sandking
Pilot 42 ish and main could be 165 to 205 depending on porting
mhoksch
Don't do the 2-1. I learned the hard way, it SUCKS. You get way better performance from the dual carbs
turbowrenchhead
I have the stock carbs as well. I was going to try both setup's and keep the one I like and sell the one I don't. What would I shoot for pilot/mains on the stockers?
turbowrenchhead
I was leaning towards the 2-1 for better fuel economy and faster re jet if I need to on the trail.

You get way better performance from the dual carbs Either people love them or hate them. I believe if you have a good intake that will make the difference on how well it performs. turbowrenchhead
Just did a compression test. I have 130 psi on both cylinders. Any higher and it might require higher octane.
trickedcarbine
If you are referring to the 440 manifold go ahead and run it. If it is a trinity or chariot you are fucked and will regret it. There really won't be much more fuel economy. The bike will just pull almost twice the fuel through he carb. I think if I were you a 38mm PJ or even a 39mm PWK would suffice. I have seen a few 2/1 and MOST are garbage. But there are a few trick set ups that do work. Also stick to the E series needles on them or you will get a weird midrange hesitation and sputter
turbowrenchhead
I don't remember what the intake is off of. The member I bought it off said they worked great. It has decent sized runners. I should look back in my history and contact him to ask.

Where would I get another boot to fit the larger carb?
turbowrenchhead
The intake is off a Yamaha 440 sled and modified to fit banshee.
BeeCanBanshee
The 2-1 isn't bad I dunno how it compares to dual carbs since I don't have any. But I ran my banshee with a trinity 2-1 kit 33mm pwk, +4 timing, fatty's and it whooped 450s with exhaust and intake at the track. And still trail rode it. BeeCanBanshee
But I'm switching to dual carbs after rebuilding so I can see how it compares.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
The intake is off a Yamaha 440 sled and modified to fit banshee. Run a 35PWK it'll be fine. We have a bike in our group making 65HP with one. (His is a Graydon though.)
