You can use any year Blaster axle the splines are all the same just need to use the brake rotor hub from the blaster ...it all works great. I'll post pics of my se in a bitt up

Can you elaborate or have pics? Having a hard time visualizing this. Can't just swap blaster axle for banshee?

Yes, the axle is a direct swap. But some guys have actually got even a few more inches narrower by taking the hub and flipping it so that it mounts the wheel inward.

what year did you use and if I use a 38mm round carrier it should work the same

MY AXLE WAS OFF A 98 bLASTER AND AS FAR AS CARRIER MAKE SURE AND MIC THE i.d. OF YOUR BEARINGS COMPAIRED TO THE AXLE. bANSHEE CARRIER o.d. IS BIGGER THAN ON bLASTER BUT i.d. IS THE SAME ON THE BEARINGS ON THE oem CARRIER...hOPE THAT CLEARS YOUR QUESTION

does it wobbly in the dunes if you hit ruts

Never been duning with it but I'm sure it would be kinda sketchy.

What is the advantage of narrowing up the rear end? Just to achieve the 'drag bike' look?

I always thought that a longer axle was more likely to bend on a high powered engine, that's just my thoughts I'm sure that someone that's been dragging for a while would know.
