if you have the cash and like the bike  maybe a nice ported serval?  OR find a set of decent 4 mill cylinders that are not drag ported OR a set of stockers and build a 4 mill or even a nice 350.

if your on a budget a stock rebuilt crank and used low bore cylinders with new pistons would be key.  then reassemble ( corectley) and leak down test.  all new gaskets and seals etc..   use quality seals and gaskets  there are some real trashy seals floating around these days.

looks like that seal wasnt aligned right wne the motor was put back together..

that blueing is just from the crank rubbing on the case.  with it all apart its a great time to do some transmission modifications and maybe some other minor updates throough out the motor for reliablilty..

I'm not on a super tight budget but I'm in college and each book is anywhere from 100-300 bucks so I can't go crazy at least not right now now.

My plan as of now is 4mil crank from Vito's or fast welded trued tz bearing shift star mod stock cylinders with agressive trail port 16cc domes wiseco pro lites either rad valves or v3s pro circuit pipes gutted toomey silencers( siting in shop) iridium plugs c12 with castor 927. Am I on the right track here?

Eventually this will be my trail bike along with the few yzs I have and I wanna build a dune/drag bike most likely a cub 10 mil on alchy with all the Ella and whistles but it will be awhile before that

If anyone has any input on things to do since the case is wide open for performance an reliability I am all ears. Thanks a bunch

I would have CamATV cut your transmission for sure. When you start putting down some power (sometimes even just piped) the tranny starts shifting like crap. You will be kicking yourself if you put it all back together and still have the crappy shifting.

Just have it done and truly get the most out of your engine mods. It make a HUGE difference .
