I was going to head out this weekend... but reading up i found i needed sparkies to go play. Don't have any, so that side tracked me. I'm itching to get out in the dunes. Been a dream forever to go out there. Ordered some up today, should be in this week. Still need a corner man for out there.

Sparky's at glamis or dumont.... Never heard of such a thing.

I've been riding at glamis for 28 years and have never once been stopped by the rangers, or sheriff's dept. Nor have I ever heard of anyone getting cited for no spark arrestors. I just text my buddy who is a BLM ranger in Gordon's, and he said in his 14 years of employment with BLM, he has never written a spark arrestor ticket.

Here are the 4 rules of glamis. Pretty much the only 4 rules.

Register your bike with a visible sticker.

Wear a helmet.

Have a flag on your bike.

Don't drink and ride.

Wear a helmet in your side by side now.. new rule and no one in the back bed area even with cage and seats added

Seen that law also a few months back.. Last Saturday at the drags that law was not being enforced either.

I was told the same thing as long as my plate was visible.

Yep, out of state registration is good. The way the law is written, is if you are "living" in the state of California longer than 90 days, you need to register your vehicle here. There is even another loophole around that. You can purchase a California Non-resident OHV sticker from several retailers around San Diego. One I know of for sure that always has them in stock is Off Road Warehouse. There are 3 in San Diego. One in Escondido, Clairemont Mesa, and El Cajon. I don't remember how much it is, but I think it's like $25-$30 and will make you 100% legit. It's worth paying for to avoid any future headaches, in my opinion.
