dirtydownunder
haha yep ! make sure both surfaces are dead perfect flat, and run a sealant only !! tho changing your base gaskets alters your port timing so if you got a plan, sweet. if not, you could make it run worse. you can get real thin gasket paper too so if you wanted to run a gasket you could make one thinner than .010"
WINDYCITYJOHN400
Your also going to end up with a tighter squish. So you better check it before you just fire up the motor. You don't want your pistons and domes playing Patty-Cake.
hotrodbanshee
What thickness should I go with? Stock cylinders with HJR Dune/play port, wiseco prolite pistons, noss head 19cc domes, stock stroke.
dirtydownunder
what ever HJR supplied, i think he usually runs a .020" but you should really ask kevin.

BigRed350x
Yep, give kevin a call, he will get ya set up right. Take the time and do a leak-down test and check your squish. Its also a good idea to check piston to cylinder wall clearance and calculate your compression ratio. All good things to have written down when you do a new build.
