okbeast
Looks like your crank got EXTRA roasty toasty and the bearing probably seized, went downhill from there.
ric-ross1
Both of them were smoking and everything felt normal when i put my had on the exhaust. How about the color on the brow piston?? normal??. The other piston had alot of shaving and stuff on it thats the one that broke the skirt. By roasty toasty you mean maybe old and kinda siezed and messed up due to what? lubrication? poor maintnance from the previous owner? Surfrjag
What was piston wall clearance? Cast pistons notoriously break if they have to much.

ric-ross1
What was piston wall clearance? Cast pistons notoriously break if they have to much. To be honest i think thats what it was i could move the piston a little when they were in the jugs, didnt exactly measure it i took them out and threw the broken one in the table, but the way the crank broke the connecting rods is the exact same way it had when i bought the motor blown but both happen on the opposite side. my bro's banshee's crank looked the same.his grenaded from a air leak. Good to know, i need to see all the options and start counting which ones might have caused it. Thanks
wfobasheeboy
Did you do a pressure test after you put it all back together?
BLOODRAGE
on my bro's banshee the airleak was caused by the fuel line, it rubbed a hole on the cross over tube for the carbs
ric-ross1
Did you do a pressure test after you put it all back together? To be honest my home made tester was leaking itself so i didnt pay attention and didnt do it( I know i paid for it) The way it looks you might of had some major air leaks... Maybe not sure, going to make a better one tomorrow when i put it together. on my bro's banshee the airleak was caused by the fuel line, it rubbed a hole on the cross over tube for the carbs I will check that out tonight when i get home, but it looked fine.
