BeeCanBanshee
Hey guys so I'm having my cases powdercoated while its out for a rebuild and I can't get the damn motor mount bushings out. Also I don't have the dog bone looking mounts like I have seen online and was curious to what I have going on and any tips on removing the bushings is much appreciated. Also does anyone sell a mount kit that I can use to go back with just like it was with out the dog bones. Thanks
BigRed350x
The engine mounts do come out, sometimes they just need some persuasion. Dont get too crazy or you risk breaking your cases though. You can buy all of the mounts and parts from most online parts vendors. Cascadeinnovations.net carriers OEM parts & have the dog-bone pieces you are looking for, as well as the hardware to mount them up. BeeCanBanshee
Do I need to go back with dog bones? The rear just bolted to the frame with a through bolt and the front just had these little brackets thatounyrd the motor to the frame

BeeCanBanshee
I understand that they are there for a reason but so are coolant overflow bottles but many don't use them. Just wondering why they aren't ran by some.
BeeCanBanshee
They weren't on the bike when I got it. Not trying to be an ass. Just don't want to by something not needed.

sleeper06
They are needed keep them and you can press the bushings out ,I usually leave them and powder coat all the time,no need to pull them unless they get damage when disassembling bike
BeeCanBanshee
Cool yea I have seen people leave them for powder but I had none to begin with so I really have never seen them till I searched for motor mount bushings
