thekevin
What about exhaust, from what I am reading a good set of 2 into 1's gives the best low and midrange power. Will I notice a difference between them and my t5's.
rjdgriff
I would keep the t5s or sell them and get some pro circuits. I know a guy with 2-1 and it does fine in trails but if you ever wanna open it up it sucks up top

DirtDiggler69
2:1 is ok , but stick with duals , PT mids are great , I love my Pro Circuits , they are a low to mid range but perform pretty good in the sand too on the top end . I'd just stick with the pods , unless you are gonna ride it up to the seat in a creek you'll be fine.
Paulie B
I run the stock airbox with the lid off, pro-flow intake w/outerwares cover, and uni air box vents. I never have to clean my filter but a couple times a year and I run in the thick stuff believe me. I'm sure pods would work well if you keep them clean. bluebanshee98
i thought the bike was fine the way it is. keep the pipes, make sure you have outerwears on the pods, you could try water repellent. like the others said as long as your not flying through big/deep water you should be fine. imo banshees are not good in the mud or water. yes you can drive them through it if thats your thing but to each his own. i cross some water time to time and i have pods. i just go slowly through it. if you plan on flying through water like that get the airbox and take the lid off. jds customs may be able to make something for you to protect the pods. he would have a better answer then i would though. better suspension will be very beneficial to you especially on trails
thekevin
I have changed a few things so far. I swapped out the 19/18 Sedona's for a new set of 21/20 GBC Xrex's and that really calmed this thing down. I also swapped the pods out for a stock air box, no lid, pro flow intake and k&n filter. I am very happy with the adjustment that made to the power band. I am running stock gearing now, but it is due for new sprocket soon so I will probably keep the rear factory size and go down a tooth in the front. I still haven't decided what shocks to get, I am happy with the rears but the fronts aren't very good. I see what you are saying about buying used shocks, I weigh 260lbs so it may be hard to find something that is setup for my weight. I am still very tempted to just buy a complete set of factory yfz450 a-arms with shocks and brakes, I think that would be a good upgrade to what I have now. I am waiting on the front tires to come in so now I only have the rears installed so once they get here I will snap some new pics.
shakar
theres a few cheap mods you can do for a few ponys.1. is to mod your stock timing plate to up the timing a bit, dump the air box, shave down the head for more comp but if your really want to rip through the trails do your suspention first .you can have all the power you want but if you cant flex it ..... its useless. i run the whole yfz 450 front suspenion and brakes front and rear.you do loose some height. but i fixed that by getting some elka trip rates 17 1/4 long.the + arms and minus swinger is also a great combo as it gets the motor under you a lil more, the mods you can do on the banshee's are endless.............. my 2 cents others may & will vary ,goodluck
thekevin
The motor makes more than enough power for me already, it will smoke the 700 raptor with big 3 I had before getting this one. I have a trinity stage 4 head with 18cc domes ready to go on it but I am thinking I am going to swap out for some 21cc domes before it goes on, I'm not wanting to run race gas. Will the shorter swingarm make it wheelie worse than it does already. With the new taller tires it seems like the front is always off the ground. trickedcarbine
Just sit on the tank more with the shorter swinger. Mines a -2 and it really does make a fun ride. My tires seem to wear less when they hook up opposed to spinning the fuck out of them

Paulie B
Aren't outerwear's naturally water repellent? I mean if your spraying water repellent on them are you really just choking them?
